Late 3-pointer lifts Miami over Georgia Tech

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Epiphany Woodson's 3-pointer with a second left to play gave Miami a 54-52 win over Georgia Tech tonight.

Janie Mitchell's layup with 46 seconds to play had given Georgia Tech (18-5 overall, 5-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) a 52-51 lead.

Each team then turned the ball over, and Miami (9-14, 2-6) took over with 18 seconds left, then held the ball for its final shot.

Mitchell had 19 points and six rebounds for the Jackets. The Hurricanes were led by Woodson, who finished with 16 points.
