Tasha Humphrey scores 23 points and Georgia beats Arkansas 72-58

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Tasha Humphrey scored 23 points and No. 24 Georgia built an early lead and held on to beat Arkansas 72-58 tonight.

The lead changed hands four times in the first eight minutes before Georgia took over and built a 34-21 halftime advantage.

Georgia ((17-6 overall, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) extended its lead to 17 points early in the second half. Arkansas (17-6, 2-6) reduced the margin to 59-51 on a jumper by Whitney Jones, but could get no closer.

The Lady Bulldogs made 19-of-23 free throws, many of them in the final minutes when Arkansas resorted to fouling.

Brittney Vaughn scored 16 points to lead the Lady Razorbacks. Megan Darrah, Ashley Houts and Angela Puleo each had 12 for Georgia
