BUFORD - North Hall pushed Class AA No. 3 Buford to the limit before falling 62-60 Saturday in four overtimes at the Buford gym.
The games tied at 37 after regulation and both teams battled from behind in the overtime periods. It was a much better showing for North Hall than the last meeting, a 57-31 win for the Lady Wolves (19-4).
Sheresse Williams led Buford with 13 points. Blanche Alverson added 11 and Michelle Godwin 10 for Buford.
Anna Porras had perhaps her best game for North Hall (15-8) with 21 points. Leiticia Davenport had 14 points, Bradee Burrell 12, and Elizabeth Williams had 11 points, eight assists, and six steals for the Lady Trojans.
It was the second straight loss for North Hall, which finishes it season with two Region 7A-AAA road games at Lumpkin County and Gilmer next week.
Buford plays host to Class AA No. 1 Wesleyan Tuesday night.

TOCCOA - Kim Smigelsky poured in 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Lady Spartans to a non-region win.
Jayla Moon had 15 points and Tiffany Black 10 for West Hall (10-11) which snapped a two-game losing streak.
Stephens County (14-5) was paced by 16 points from Raven Crawford. The loss for the Lady Indians snapped a four game win streak.

DAHLONEGA - The Lady Indians (7-16) snapped a 12-game losing streak with the win.
Ashley Brown poured in 27 points to lead Lumpkin County.
Janelle Francis and Louisa Jacobs each nine points to lead Lakeview.
The Lady Lions (9-10) will play host to Athens Christian Tuesday night in a Region 8-A game.

CUMMING - Dawson County won its third straight game behind Rachel Biddy, who had a team-high 14 points.
The win for the Lady Tigers (12-11) avenged a 20-point loss to the Lady Wolverines last month. Dawson County will play host to Rabun County Tuesday in a key Region 8B-AA game.
West Forsyth will play host to West Hall in a Region 7B-AAA match up.
