Georgia Tech women win again

ATLANTA - Chioma Nnamaka scored 23 points and Georgia Tech opened the second half with a 28-5 run to beat Clemson 77-59 on Thursday night.

Georgia Tech (17-4 overall, 4-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) had a big lead of 29 points with 6:38 left.

Janie Mitchell had 22 points and seven rebounds and Alex Montgomery added 17 points with five steals for Tech.

``What a great win for our kids,'' Georgia Tech coach MaChelle Joseph said. ``It was great to get everyone some minutes. Janie was very poised and Chioma was huge in the first half from beyond the 3-point line.''

Georgia Tech forced 28 turnovers.

Lele Hardy led Clemson (9-13, 2-5) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kirstyn Wright, a Stone Mountain, Ga. native, scored a career-high 16 points.
