DAWSONVILLE - Dawson County authorities are trying to find out what caused a deadly crash Friday morning.
Initially authorities thought everyone survived, but then officers found a third victim undernearth the wrecked vehicle. The victim has been identified as Timothy Brian Pettyjohn, 19, of Carlton.
Two other people were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center after the wreck on Hwy 136 at Shoal Creek.
Officers said it appeared the driver ran off the road and slammed into a tree. The wreck happened around 7 a.m. Friday. Dawson County Sheriff's Lt. Tony Wooten said the Georgia State Patrol is spearheading the investigation.
