WHHS evacuated after electrical short

West Hall High School was evacuated for a short time Thursday morning when a capacitor in the school's electrical room blew.

Hall Schools spokesman Gordon Higgins said the students were evacuated to the gym while firefighters investigated. Students returned to class at noon. One student was taken to the hospital for observation.
