UNDATED - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been posted for several counties in Georgia, including some in the Gainesville area.
Meanwhile, a Flash Flood Watch remains in place for many of the same counties covered by the thunderstorm watch.

951 IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EST THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE FOLLOWING

In addition to the Flash Flood Watch and the Severe Thunderstorm Watch, a Tornado Watch remains in effect for four counties in south Georgia... Montgomery, Emanuel, Toombs, and Truetlen. This includes the cities of Mount Vernon, Soperton, Swainsboro and Vidalia.
