Shopping center parking lot scene of suicide

OAKWOOD - A 73-year-old man killed himself Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of an Oakwood shopping center.

Hall County Coroner Marion Merck said it happened outside the Food Lion in the College Square Shopping Center.

Merck said he was told the man stepped out of his car and shot himself. He added the man left a note in his car.

The incident happened about 4 p.m.
