SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett quarterback Michael Tamburo believes the blue turf of Boise State is where he belongs and showed so on Wednesday by committing to play football for Boise.
Tamburo is one of the state's top quarterbacks and has thrown for 1,614 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, in addition to rushing for 469 yards and six more scores in leading the Bulldogs to an 8-2 regular season and a second-place finish in Region 7-AAAAA.
The Bulldogs will take on Brookwood in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday in Suwanee.
Tamburo led North Gwinnett to the Class AAAAA championship game last season, throwing for 2,311 yards and 19 TDs and rushing for 594 yards and 10 TDs as a junior.
