COAL MOUNTAIN - North Forsyth showed it has more one dimension on Friday night.
Known for their ground-heavy offense, the Raiders threw Chattahoochee a curveball on Friday night, as quarterback Eli Chester threw for a career-high 223 yards in a 31-27 victory.
North Forsyth (4-5, 3-4 Region 7-AAAAA) pulled ahead early, taking a 10-7 advantage after the first quarter. But Chattahoochee rallied in the second quarter and took a 24-13 advantage at the half.
Then the Raiders defense, and safety Steven Hester, took over.
Hester picked off three passes, tying a school record, as North Forsyth held the Cougars to three points in the second half en route to a win.
