Lady Dogs' Houts named to preseason All-SEC team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Georgia guard Ashley Houts is opening the season the way she finished last season, as an all-SEC pick.

Houts was named a preseason first-team all-Southeastern Conference pick by a panel of 25 SEC and national media members, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Georgia's Angel Robinson was an all-SEC second-team pick, while the Lady Bulldogs were picked to finish fourth in the league.

The media chose Vanderbilt as the favorite to win the league title, followed by Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia.

Auburn's DeWanna Bonner was named the preseason player of the year.
