RABBITTOWN -- Imani Cross ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns and Connor Shaw added 60 yards and one touchdown on the ground to lead Flowery Branch to 42-3 drubbing of East Hall Friday night in Region 7B-AAA action.
The game was tight in the first half, however, as East Hall led 3-0 early in the second quarter on a 22-yard field goal by Chrisel Flores. The Falcons exploded three minutes later when Cross went 46 yards for their first score and then Ben Clark recovered a fumble and ran it in for another touchdown just six seconds later for a 14-3 lead.
Conner Shaw added a 12-yard TD pass to Chris Lipscomb with 44 seconds left in the first half for a 21-3 lead.
The Falcons put the game away with three third quarter touchdowns on a 12-yard run by Cross, a 45-yard run from Shaw, and a 7-yard run from Kyle Famiano.
East Hall was paced by Kiante Young, who had four catches for 49 yards receiving. Quarterback Desmond Gardner was 6-of-13 for 74 yards and one interception. Corey Richardson had six carries for 44 yards to lead the Vikings rushing attack.
