Ducktown Park dedicated to Ducktown Community Club

CUMMING - Forsyth County officially dedicated Ducktown Park to the Ducktown Community Club in a ceremony on Thursday.

A plaque recognizing the Ducktown Community Club, who donated the park land to the county in 2005, was erected in the park.

Since the park land was donated to Forsyth County, additions and enhancements to the park include a walking trail, playground and picnic pavilion. A sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and new restroom facilities are still planned for the park. A grant from the National Parks Service helped fund the renovations to Ducktown Park.

Ducktown Park is located at 5878 Heardsville Road in Cumming.
