Significant rain for first time in 25 days

GAINESVILLE - The rain we are getting this morning is the most significant we've had in about a month.

It's been 25 days - going back to Sept. 11 - since more than just a trace of rain fell at the Gainesville airport. That's when .38 inch was recorded.

Forecasters say there's a chance we'll pick up about an inch through tomorrow. And, there's chance of lingering showers through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
