Memphis and Kansas still lead the way in AP Top 25

Memphis made it to a second week as number one.

The Tigers top this week's Associated Press' college basketball poll, doubling their only other stint as a top-ranked team. Memphis went to number one in January 1983 and lost hours later.

The 19-and-0 Tigers received 46 first-place votes from the 72-member national media panel.

Kansas, at 20-and-0 the only other unbeaten team in Division I, holds second for a second straight week. The Jayhawks got the other 26 number-one votes.

Duke moved up one place to third, followed by formerly top-ranked North Carolina and UCLA.

Georgetown moves up to sixth, while Tennessee dropped from third to seventh following a loss at Kentucky,

Michigan State is eighth, with Washington State and Texas rounding out the top 10.

Indiana, Butler, Wisconsin, Stanford, Xavier, Drake, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Florida comprise the second 10.

Saint Mary's, Kansas State, Texas A Mississippi and Baylor are the last five ranked teams.
