OAKWOOD - A panel discussion at Gainesville State College Tuesday will focus on the racial tensions in Jena, Louisana.
It's something of an early kickoff to a round of Black History Month events at the school's Oakwood campus.
The tensions developed out of the 2006 beating of a white student by six blacks... who then became the symbol of what their supporters call "overly-harsh" treatment by the judicial system.
The students who participated in the Jena Six Social Justice Movement will be featured at the GSC event.
