NEW YORK - Turner Broadcasting System is taking over the NBA's television and Web operations.
Turner Sports president David Levy and NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver will jointly manage the venture.
The league announced today that the deal will run through the 2015-16 season. Turner already airs dozens of NBA games on TNT each season.
Under the agreement, Turner will run NBA TV, the league's television network; NBA.com; NBA League Pass, a service that allows fans to watch out-of-market games; and the league's broadband and wireless businesses.
Turner and the NBA will jointly sell advertising for all the operations and will share profits.
