$500,000 fire in South Hall

BUFORD - Damage is put at half a million dollars following a fire that destroyed Professional V Twins, a motorcycle repair shop in South Hall.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle says that includes some water and smoke damage to Totally Cabinets which is located in the same McEver Road building and occupies three of the four suites in the structure.

As for a cause, Cagle says "there was a loud explosion that was called in" and investigators evidence of a possible explosion in the form of "debris strewn about the parking lot."

Cagle says a fire wall kept the flames from spreading to the other part of the building.

Investigators planned to return to the scene Friday to continue searching for the cause.

The call came in about midnight to 2820 McEver Road.
