Olivia Wagenknecht was born at 1:37 PM New Year's Day to proud parents, Michelle Parisi-Wagenkneckt and John Wagenknecht. This is the couple's fourth child. The Maternity Services Unit provided Olivia and her parents with a gift basket.
The Maternity Services Unit at Chestatee Regional Hospital offers patients three spacious and light filled labor and delivery suites, six post-partum suites, and a waiting area for extended family members. The suites are comfortable and home like, but are also equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest quality of care. At the nurse's station, there is an on-floor central computer display of all activity, including fetal heart rate monitoring. The suites are immediately adjacent to a fully equipped operating room for emergency and scheduled cesarean sections. With remodeled private suites, upgraded spa-like amenities, and obstetric trained staff, the unit is a serene, tranquil environment for mother and child. All the elements combine to bring together the comfort and privacy of a hotel suite with the expert care of an acute care hospital. Every mother has her own private suite and bathroom-a peaceful, warm and quiet place in which to welcome her newborn and visit with family and friends.
