Winder Hwy. reopens

CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN - Winder Highway at Deaton Road in Chestnut Mountain was closed for a time Friday morning because of a gas leak.

Authorities say a road construction crew - working on the widening of Winder Highway - cut a 2-inch gas main at that intersection about 9:30. The road was reopened about 30 minutes later.
