GAINESVILLE - The people behind a mixed-use development planned at I-985 and Candler Road want their property annexed by the City of Gainesville.
It's a 23-acre site that was once the location of a county park.
The proposal calls for a mid- to high-rise development consisting of office buildings and office warehouses... as well as bank, hotel and restaurant uses.
Plans for the site were presented to the Hall County Planning Commission in April.
The annexation request goes before Gainesville planners October 9.
