UGA professor arrested for making threats at high school

<p>A University of Georgia professor has been arrested for allegedly making threats at a high school, according to police.</p><p>Shuzhou Wang, an associate professor of mathematics, was arrested Thursday, according to a Athens-Clarke County police report.</p><p>During a meeting with teachers at Cedar Shoals High School, Wang allegedly became upset about the special treatment of his autistic son and said that he "might kill someone and might kill someone in the county," according to the report.</p><p>Principal Tommy Craft played a digital audio recording of the conversation for police, the report said.</p><p>Wang came to the university in 1999 and was promoted to associate professor and given tenure in 2003. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993 with a doctorate in mathematics and taught mathematics there.</p><p>He also taught at Indiana University-Perdue University Indianapolis.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x2de9f94)</p>
