GAINESVILLE - Gainesville's Micah Owings gets to show his stuff in front the homefolks tonight as he starts for the Arizona Diamondbacks in Atlanta against the Braves.
A lot of people from Gainesville who are related to the rookie right-hander or are friends with him are expected to be at Turner Field for the game.
It will be the first time, in Atlanta or Phoenix, that Owings, 4-and-5 on the season so far, has been scheduled to pitch against the Braves.
Arizona will be trying to make it two in a row over Atlanta after beating the Braves 4-0 last night. (See separate story.)
