JEFFERSON - Jefferson joins the list of places in northeast Georgia placing a total ban on outdoor water use for most people.
The city has implemented Drought Level 4 restrictions, effective Monday, according to a posting on the city's Web site.
That's the level at which all watering is banned except for vegetable gardens and certain businesses, such as landscape companies, car washes, retail garden centers, and the like.
Last week, several other places in northeast Georgia tightened outdoor water use policies.
