Hall building permits down

GAINESVILLE - The number of new housing starts okayed by Hall County Building Inspection Service last month decreased by 29 from the month before.

Fifty-five were okayed for work expected to cost $10.7 million.

Last week, the City of Gainesville announced that 28 such permits were approved in June - up by eight over May.
