Former Albany football players make guilty plea to raping female student

<p>Two former University at Albany football players have pleaded guilty to raping a female student in their campus dorm room last fall.</p><p>Lorenzo Ashbourne of Smyrna, Ga., and Julius Harris of Riviera Beach, Fla., pleaded guilty Wednesday in Albany to a felony count of rape. The 19-year-olds will be sentenced in August to six months in Albany County Jail, ten years probation and are required to register as sex offenders.</p><p>Prosecutors say the two freshman football players raped an intoxicated classmate in their room on the SUNY-Albany campus last October.</p><p>Both men were expelled from the college.</p><p>A rape charge against a third former Albany player is still pending.</p>
