Near drowning reported

BUFORD - A woman nearly drowned Sunday night in Lake Lanier.

It happened about 8:00 near Lake Lanier Islands.

The woman, who had been swimming, was about about 20 feet from shore near the resort's designated swimming area and was rushed to a hospital. There was no word early Monday on her condition.
