FLOWERY BRANCH - A collision between two jet skis near University Yacht Club on Lake Lanier claimed the life of a Lawrenceville man late Monday afternoon.
"We had a 39-year-old male, Ly Pham, who is deceased as a result of this accident," says Georgia Department of Natural Resources spokeswoman Melissa Cummings.
Cummings says Pham's jet ski collided with another jet ski at approximately 5:00 p.m. The other skier, whose name has not been released, reportedly was taken to the Northeast Goergia Medical Center.
Cummings says there were a total of five boating incidents on Lanier Monday; the rest were considered "minor."
