City Manger Dennis Bergin shared that there are roads on the city's map that were never built.
If there are no water or sewer lines on the property, these un-opened roads may be sold.
The street committee wants to make sure that profit made off such land is legal.

Council approved a bid to re-pave four roads in the city.
Work on Ninth Street, Carter Alley, McLeod Street and Hood Street will cost the city a about $98,900.

Seven-hundred dollars was set aside to purchase water conservation kits. These kits will educate residents on how much water they are using each month.
Bergin stated, "We need to be good stewards of our water resource."
The council agreed that that kits be passed along to citizens to audit their own water useage.
CITIZEN COMMENT
Jeff Ingram Pastor at Lula United Methodist Church brought to the councils attention an on going problem with children roaming the city.
"All hours of the night, as soon as school is out, and you can find them there [at] three and four o'clock in the morning."
He hopes to see the community come together to try to solve the problem with the help of the city government.
Council member Mordecai Wilson attributes the responsibility to the parents of the roaming kids and feels it is not the sole responsibility of the city government.
Mayor Milton Turner agreed with Wilson, but stated that he has been working on the issue with help of the Sheriff's office.
