Lady Elephants net win over Flowery Branch

FLOWERY BRANCH - The Gainesville girls tennis team took a key Region 7B-AAA win Tuesday knocking off Flowery Branch 3-2.

The Lady Elephants (7-3) swept the three singles matches to take the win.

Cayla Reece beat Jennica Ramey 6-3,6-1 at No. 1; Laura Bilborough beat Jasmine Griffith 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2; and Stephanie Olson beat Megan Grewett 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

The Lady Falcons swept the doubles with Kelsey Hughes and Nicki Price beating Jessica Cockrell and Emily Windhorst 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 and Charly Garmon and Morgan Ruiz rallied from a set down to beat Kelly Bodine and Lyndsay Mercer 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 doiubles.
