Lady Trojans still perfect in 7-AAA play

MURRAYVILLE - The North Hall girls tennis team remained unbeaten in Region 7A-AAA play after taking a 5-0 win over Chestatee Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans (6-1, 4-0 in subregion) did not drop a set in taking the win despite two close singles matches.

Carly Franze beat Erica Lackey 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles while Jessica Butts held off Amy Werner 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2 singles. Hayley Crowder beat Mandi Wehunt 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the team of Lauren Bolton and Courtney Wiley beat Tiffany Haynes and Alivia Mueller 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 while Rachel Langman and Katherine Wesseley whipped Christine Mitchell and Bridget Neukum 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
