Lady Elephants nip North Hall

GAINESVILLE - The Class AAA eighth-ranked Gainesville girls tennis team improved to 10-4 Monday after knocking off North Hall 3-2.

The Lady Elephants swept the singles matches while North hall took both doubles matches.

For Gainesville, Cayla Reece defeats Carly Franze 6-3,6-2 at No. 1; Laura Bilbrough rallied to beat Katherine Wessely 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2; and Stephanie Olson beat Hayley Crowder 7-6, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

For North Hall, the No. 1 doubles team of Lauren Bolton and Courtney Wiley beat Jessica Cockrell and Emily Windhorst 6-0, 6-0 while Rachel Langman and Jessica Butts beat Kelly Bodine and Lyndsay Mercer 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
