E. Hall couple charged with torching their home

GAINESVILLE - An East Hall couple has been charged with torching their own home.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle says the fire occurred in December at the home of Daniel Lee Williams and Sherry Rebecca Williams on Broome Road. Both are charged with first degree arson.

The fire occurred December 2 at a single-wide mobile home where the Williams' and their two children lived. Cagle says further charges could be pending upon the completion of the investigation.

He adds that these arrests will soon close one case and "we feel that we are very close on two other arson cases one of which occurred at 4215 Winder Highway and the other at 5363 Still Water Lane."
