Gladiators get Lehman back from Wolves

DULUTH- The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that Scott Lehman has been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the American hockey League. The 6-foot 1-inch defenseman will make his second trip to Gwinnett this season. Lehman has played in four games for the Wolves this season compiling a -3 plus/minus rating and 6 penalty minutes in the AHL.

The Windsor, ON native played in three games for Gwinnett from November 1st through the 4th. Lehman notched an assist for one point as well as a -1 rating and 5 penalty minutes during his first stint with the Gladiators.

Lehman appeared in all 72 games last season for the Gladiators. He notched 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points during his rookie campaign with the Gladiators last season. Lehman was a third round pick of the Atlanta Thrashers during the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Lehman should be available to the Gladiators for their game against the Texas Wildcatters at 8:05pm this Friday at the Ford Arena in Beaumont, TX.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
