Shooting at Douglasville mall

DOUGLASVILLE - Police say a security guard and a suspected robber have been shot as two men tried to rob a Brinks Security truck outside a shopping mall in west Georgia.

Douglasville police put the Arbor Place Mall under lockdown, not letting anyone in or out, as they tried to find one of the suspects who was possibly driving a getaway car, television stations in Atlanta reported.

Police say the other suspect was shot. His condition is unknown.

Mall management and Douglasville police did not immediately return a call for comment from The Associated Press.
