GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida quarterback Tim Tebow broke his right hand in yesterday's win over Florida State and will be in a cast for at least two weeks. The Heisman Trophy candidate is expected to be ready for the Gators' appearance in either the Capital One Bowl or Outback Bowl New Year's Day.
Tebow suffered a non-displaced fracture to his non-throwing hand on a touchdown run early in the third quarter against the Seminoles. He was examined on the sidelines and Tebow said he was okay, so he continued playing. X-rays taken after the game revealed the fracture.
