With the return of four starters and eight players overall from last year's 10-20 squad, this team will be much more experienced and in better position to win the close games they lost last year.
Sophomore Paige Cooper, who was selected to the SSAC All-Freshman team, leads the way and averaged 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds last year. Three other sophomore starters, Vicky Wilson, Natasha Anderson and Sarah Ledford, are also back. Whitney Jones, a senior from East Hall High School returns, along with Junior Lori Pope and Sophomores Tori Collins and Chessie Archer.
The home opener is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6 pm against Tennessee Temple University.
