JACKSONVILLE, FLA - Jacksonville defensive tackle and former Georgia Bulldog Marcus Stroud has been suspended without pay for four games by the NFL for violation of the league's steroids and related substances policy.
The three-time Pro Bowl lineman admitted last week that he had taken supplements following off season micro-fracture surgery on his right ankle.
Stroud says he long longer takes the supplements and that he will not appeal the ruling.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Stroud was the Jaguars' first pick in the 2001 draft, and the 13th player taken overall.
The Thomasville native lettered for Georgia from 1997-2000.
