TOCCOA - The running games of both the Stephens County Indians and the Hart County Bulldogs clashed Friday at Stephens County High School. Stephens County (9-0, 5-0) remains undefeated after a dramatic 20-7 win over Hart County (7-1-1, 5-1).

The Indians fought back, scoring late in the second quarter on a two-yard run by senior Tauren Poole, who tallied 143 yards on 26 carries, scoring all three of Stephens County's touchdowns. However, the extra point was short after a 15-yard penalty forced the Indians back following the touchdown.

The Bulldogs were looking to tie the game with 6:08 left, but Kurvin Curry threw one of his two interceptions on a first-and-ten situation from Stephens County's 36-yard line. Curry gathered 117 rushing yards on 13 carries. Curry was 2-of-13 passing, gaining only 25 yards through the air, with both receptions going to Carey.
