Chestnut Mtn. street losing access to Winder Hwy.

CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN - Continued work on the widening of Winder Highway means changes in access to the highway for some Chestnut Mountain residents.

Beginning Wednesday, Chestnut Mountain Circle will become a cul-de-sac at both ends, eliminating the direct link to Winder Highway.

The state DOT's Teri Pope says the only access will be via Strickland Road.

The Winder Highway work is scheduled for completion late next year.
