<p>Elijah Clark ran for 105 yards on 11 carries and had a touchdown to help Benedict to a 21-7 win over Savannah State on Saturday night in the Palmetto Capital City Classic.</p><p>Clark's 8-yard scoring run put Benedict (1-1) ahead 7-0. Benedict added a 42 yard touchdown pass from Antonio Gaffney to Richard Siders and a 1-yard TD run from Jeffery Nobles to lead 21-0 at halftime.</p><p>Benedict turned the ball over three times, but held Savannah State (0-1) to just 13 first downs.</p><p>Garrett Williams was 13-of-27 for 140 yards and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Mark Williams in the fourth quarter for Savannah State's only score.</p>
