Gingrich to address health care conference

GAINESVILLE - A chamber of commerce health care conference in Gainesville next month will feature former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The event will be held August 17 from 9:00-1:00 and will be open to the public. The cost is $25 per person and that includes breakfast and lunch.

Gingrich, a former Georgia congressman, is the founder of the Center for Health Transformation, which is dedicated to fostering a "medical system that provides better outcomes at lower costs."

Also on the program will be Congressman Nathan Deal of Gainesville and Mike Whitney of Flexible Benefits Group, who will discuss the state of group health insurance.
