Improving school 'learning environments'

GAINESVILLE - A new plan to improve the "learning environments" in Gainesville-Hall schools has been announced.

Plans are in the works to increase the fight against drugs and gang activity in Gainesville-Hall County schools.

It's a joint effort involving the Gainesville and Hall County school systems, the sheriff's office and the Gainesville Police Department.

It's part of a campaign dubbed "Improving Learning Environments in Our Schools."

And, it will not only target drugs and gangs, but teen pregnancy, teen driving safety, positive parenting, and more.
