GAINESVILLE - A Flowery Branch woman was seriously injured Friday morning when she turned her small car into the path of a tractor-trailer on the southside of Gainesville.
Lt. Chad White of the Gaineville Police Department says a six-year-old in the car with 68-year-old Patricia Randall was also injured.
The wreck, at Queen City Parkway and Ridge Road, closed two lanes of Queen City for about 45 minutes, according to Lt. White.
The six-year-old, whose name was not immediately available, suffered minor injuries, according to White, who added the trucker, who was from Mississippi, escaped injury.
White says Randall was driving a Ford Escort.
