TOCCOA - An 8-year-old Toccoa boy is recovering from injuries he received over the weekend after being hit by a pickup when he chased a dog into the road.
The state patrol says the accident happened late Saturday afternoon at Georgia 106 and Mize Road.
No word on the extent of the boy's injuries; he was taken to a Toccoa hospital. His name was not immediately available.
