CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA - Miami baseball coach Jim Morris signed a four-year extension Wednesday and is now under contract to lead the Hurricanes through the 2012 season.

Morris has taken Miami to the College World Series 10 times in 13 years, including this season. He's won two national championships, is a five-time NCAA coach of the year and has a 605-221-3 record with the Hurricanes.

``When I came to Miami 13 years ago, I thought this was the best job in college baseball,'' Morris said. ``Today, I know it is the best job in college baseball.''

Morris ranks 23rd on the all-time Division I wins list with 1,109, including his 12-year stay at Georgia Tech before coming to Miami.
