Bulldogs match school record with sixth win

<p>The top-ranked Georgia golf team tied the school record with its sixth victory of the season by winning the Linger Longer Invitational Monday at Reynolds Plantation.</p><p>Georgia gained momentum for its defense of its national championship. Georgia is the top seed in the NCAA East Regional Thursday through Saturday at the Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla.</p><p>The Bulldogs posted a final-round 1-over 289 for a 54-hole total of 9-under 855. Georgia won the tournament by 14 shots over Charlotte (869).</p><p>Georgia also won six tournaments in 2001.</p><p>Senior Kevin Kisner led Georgia with a 3-under 213, good for third. Charlotte's Trevor Murphy won the individual crown at 5-under 211, beating North Carolina's Martin Ureta in a playoff.</p><p>Georgia senior Richard Scott was sixth at 2-under 214. Junior Chris Kirk and freshman Brian Harman finished 10th at 1-over 217.</p>
