GAINESVILLE - A Hall County homeowner returned to her Allen Road residence Saturday morning to discover a small fire had started in a second story room.
Hall County Fire Marshall Scott Cagle says a forgotten candle is probably what started the fire in Debbie Manus' home, "There was no power to the house, so Ms. Manus was using candles for light."
There were no injuries. The damage is estimated at 12 hundred dollars.
Hall County fire authorities are still investigating.
