AUBURN, Ala. (AP) No. 6 Florida State defeated Auburn 8-3 Saturday, scoring four runs between the first two innings.<br>

The Seminoles grabbed the lead, scoring twice in the top of the first, taking advantage of two Auburn errors.<br>

Shane Robinson scored when Buster Posey reached on an error, followed by Dennis Guinn's RBI single to give the Seminoles a 2-0 lead.<br>

Auburn (2-3) answered in the bottom half of the inning when Andy Bennett's (1-for-5, RBI) single up the middle scored Tyler Johnstone (1-for-2, 2 BB, R, RBI).<br>

The Seminoles added two more runs in the second after a Robinson (4-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBIs) RBI-double and a sacrifice fly by Jack Rye.<br>

FSU (4-1) scored four runs with two outs in the 5th inning to pull away.<br>

Florida State starter Tyler Chambliss (2-0) pitched six-plus solid innings, allowing two runs on seven hits to earn the win<br>

Brett Butts (0-1) took the loss for Auburn.<br>
