NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Vanderbilt fullback Zach Logan has been suspended from the team indefinitely after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The redshirt freshman was arrested Friday after a Nashville police officer spotted him driving the wrong way down a road near Vanderbilt's campus. According to the officer's affidavit, Logan had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol and had difficulty performing a field sobriety test.
Logan, 20, agreed to take a breath alcohol test, and his blood-alcohol content registered as 0.11, more than 0.3 above the state's legal limit, police said.
``(Logan) is indefinitely suspended from the team and from all football-related activities until we gather more information on the incident,'' said Brian Reese, Vanderbilt's director of football operations.
The incident marks the second time Logan has been in trouble with authorities as a student.
Last year, Logan was charged with aggravated assault and assault following an altercation with two students in a dormitory elevator. He was suspended after the incident, but later returned to the program.
Logan appeared in eight games last season and had only one carry for 3 yards.
